The basketball club Olimpija from Ljubljana had a larger stock of smaller series of unused sportswear pieces for basketball players, specific in quality, color, and proportions. The design challenge was to create a contemporary collection, an experimental sustainable design project, where the students developed new visions in the interpretation of clothing, taking into account as many criteria of sustainable design as possible: recycling, use of new technologies, tailoring without residues ... They opened up new themes such as eco-futurism, novel street styles, mixes of styles. Each collection is an individual story. The social component of inclusion and democracy in the fashion industry, popularization, actualization, and contemporaneity of the aesthetics of clothing made from donated waste pieces are strongly emphasized. An important part of the project was also teamwork and new forms of cooperation.
